Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The villa is quiet, and beautifully designed in a traditional Balinese manner with wood carvings, high ceilings and privacy. The pool is well positioned to catch sunlight all day. Delightful outdoor bathroom with shower and bathtub, but protected if raining. Staff were so kind and caring. This place is owned by locals rather than foreigners, and it's good to be giving money to Balinese people. Location is away from central Ubud, much more quiet and authentic, but only 15 minutes by motorbike from the action. Very secure property. Mosquito net for the bed was a great touch and adds to the romance. Kitchen is equipped with a water filter that gives hot/cold/room temperature water on tap.
Negative: Drivers sometimes find it hard to find the location because it's new and secluded (but staff were very helpful and able to explain how to find the villa). No air conditioning is perhaps the only drawback, but a ceiling fan keeps the air circulating..breakfast juices were watery and not fresh squeezed, and the pancakes were a bit tough
